What Now? The Importance of Patience and Persistence

You might be wondering, "What now?" I want you to understand that significant weight loss takes time. Just as you didn't gain 40 pounds in a week, you won't lose it that quickly either. However, in 60 days, you'll have made progress, and how you look and feel will depend on your continued effort. Remember, external factors may influence you, but ultimately, the choice to keep going is yours.

Why I Value Health and Fitness

People often ask me why I value health and fitness so much. The simple answer is that I value myself. I can't imagine living without being health-conscious.


I've experienced the negative feelings associated with poor eating habits and being unhappy with my body. I've also entertained the thought that achieving my dream body might just be a dream.

The Alternative and the Endless Obstacles

But what's the alternative? To whine, complain, and feel sorry for myself? To convince myself that I'm a victim of unfair circumstances or bad genetics? No.


Life is full of obstacles, and during tough times, I remind myself that this is a never-ending journey, and nothing is permanent. If I want life to get better, I need to get better.

Working Smarter, Not Just Harder

As Les Brown said, "People who do the easy things, have a hard life, and people who do the hard things, have an easy life." But it's not just about doing harder things; it's about being smarter. You should enjoy your journey to great health by working smarter, not just harder. If we don't enjoy our limited time on this planet, what's the point of living?

The Problem with Society's Default

We need to make a conscious effort to enjoy life while constantly improving our health. The problem is that society's default is unhealthy, and listening to conventional advice or health gurus can lead to negative feelings and weight gain. The goal is to reach a point where being healthy is enjoyable.

Steaming vs. Boiling

Steaming frozen vegetables is healthier than boiling, but it takes longer. If you're short on time, boiling is fine, and it won't eliminate all the nutritional value. The difference between steaming and boiling is not significant enough to stress over.
